The source is listed as "Northeast Pacific." But those fishing grounds are East of China, not West from the US. That's probably why this salmon is so cheap. It's however one of the worst fish foods to eat for the toxins that are found to be present .<br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4898864335802994573.post-41608817626244499862014-11-21T15:47:20.723-08:002014-11-21T15:47:20.723-08:00I use this and I just found out that the salmon is...I use this and I just found out that the salmon is caught in the Pacific but it is then shipped to China due to the cheap labor to debone it, It's then shipped back to Aldi In Illinois. The pieces are sufficent for a meal balance with salad greens or steammed vegetables. I season with salt, pepper, cayennes pepper, ginger and a nice garlic blend, then bake until done. I would encourage anyone that enjoys salmon to try the Aldi brand.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4898864335802994573.post-12100533550112642282011-02-20T03:47:21.209-08:002011-02-20T03:47:21.209-08:00I make something like this only I use minced garli...I make something like this only I use minced garlic, instead of garlic powder and Newman's Own Light Lime Vinegrette instead of soy (I know, totally different flavors, but the procedure is the same.)BethEldertonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12982252083782331981noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4898864335802994573.post-81573667895148855542011-02-19T06:18:03.908-08:002011-02-19T06:18:03.908-08:00My husband is not too excited about tilapia either...My husband is not too excited about tilapia either, but I might have to try the flounder next time.J Rodneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15343780270541725148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4898864335802994573.post-6290514524621281172011-02-19T06:10:12.167-08:002011-02-19T06:10:12.167-08:00Sorry, not sure my comment posted.

We don't care for tilapia generally. And, yes, I just bought breaded fillets the other day {guilty}. The boys like the fish sticks sometimes for snacks.Cheap Thrillshttp://www.cheapthrillsinomaha.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4898864335802994573.post-50608298212124307082011-02-16T19:27:34.473-08:002011-02-16T19:27:34.473-08:00I will have to check to see if they have the salmo...I will have to check to see if they have the salmon back here in Ohio because we haven't had it at out store in sometime.
