Stocking Up On Aldi Ground Beef Saved $10 - Link Up At The Aldi Savings Linky

My kids were getting tired of eating chicken, so I decided to go ahead and purchase a large package of ground beef at Aldi, since I had not seen any better per lb price at any other stores for a while.

I really did not intend to spend much at Aldi, and I did not pick up many items either, but adding a big package of Aldi ground beef surely made the final tally go up fast. I stocked up on cheap orange juice and cheap eggs at Target before I headed at Aldi, and I got a much better deal at Target.

My Aldi Shopping Trip

Skim Milk 1 gallon $2.79
Instant Oatmeal $1.39
Whole Wheat Bread $1.29
Chicken drumsticks $3.26
Ground beef $12.26
Mushrooms $1.29
3 lbs sweet potatoes $1.19
Cucumber $0.49
1.81 lbs of Bananas $0.74
Aldi yeast 3 pack $.79

Total out of pocket $23.70
Total saved $10

Savings are calculated compared to the lowest price at my regular grocery stores. Take a look at the Aldi price list and price comparison list with Publix, Target, Winn-Dixie and Walmart.

I would love to hear how you did on your grocery shopping this week. You can link up below, and you can also link up at the Weekly Savings Linky at Frugality Is Free, where I post all of my shopping for the week.

  1. I am running low on beef as well. You are definitely right that there hasn't been many good deals on it lately and I am hoping there will be some soon before my freezer runs out. Great job on your savings and keep up the good work!

  2. I have been very disappointed with the quality of meat and fresh produce at our Aldi store. One package of beef I bought looked fresh and pink, but when I opened it it was wrapped around older brown looking meat.
Love your blog - thanks for all the great info.
