My Aldi Shopping Trip - Come Share Yours at the Aldi Savings Linkiy

I made a quick stop at Aldi's today, and the main reason I went was to get orange juice and some fresh fruits. I did not save a whole lot compared to the prices at Publix, but I still saved more than it cost me to make a meal from scratch. I still cannot get over the fact that a gallon of orange juice cost $4.99 at Publix, so Aldi it is...

Potato Puffs $1.79
Whole Wheat bread $1.19
5.69 lb of bananas $2.22
Gala Apples $1.99
Naval Oranges $1.49
Garlic $0.99
OJ $1.79
OJ $1.79

Total $13.25
Total saved compared to best price at the competitors $5.76

I would love to hear how you did on your Aldi Savings this week. You can link up your savings below (even if it is not from Aldi), and if you do not have a blog I would love to hear about your savings in the comments.

  1. I'm loving the great produce deals again this week in Madison, WI! 4 lb. bags of oranges at $0.99 again! Also, 3 lbs of braeburn apples for $1.49!...and as always, $0.39/lb. bananas! Fruit salad anyone? :-)

  4. I went yesterday to mainly grab a gallon of milk, but I grabbed some apples, oranges and strawberries, a pineapple, and also some snack chips that the prices were reduced to $0.89-$0.99. I spent just over $11, but I didnt need much this week. I linked up a trip I took on Monday to a local Hispanic grocery chain that has great prices on meat/produce. I think Aldi's produce is much higher quality though.

Is it just around here, or have the cucumbers been really small lately? I've walked away from them at two different aldi stores in the past two weeks because they were puny and wrinkly.
