My Aldi Shopping Trip 1/19 - Saved $22 - Share Your Aldi Trip

$17.18 on Aldi Produce
It had been three weeks, since the last time I was able to stock up on my Aldi shopping trip. On my two previous Aldi shopping trips, I had to take the bus home, which means limiting my purchases. Our fridge was very empty though, in fact it was so empty that I could easily clean the fridge this week without having to move too much around.

As an avid coupon shopper, I use Aldi to get the foods that I would not otherwise be able to get for pennies with my coupons. By shopping at Aldi for the staples I have been able to shave $10 - $20 off my grocery budget every week. I use the Grocery Price Comparison list to keep track of where to find the lowest prices on most products. When I got to the register I was sure that I would pay at least $60 for everything in the cart, but I was hoping for $50...see below what I ended up paying.

  4. These are really good deals! I also picked up some Aldi eggs yesterday, they are of much better quality than other grocery store non-organic brands.

  6. I have a hard time finding GOOD produce @ Aldi. Everytime I go in there, there is mold on everything. The cashier told me it's supposed to be like that!

  7. So so happy to see a blog completely devoted to Aldi. I also use Also for most of our produce and baking staples. The oranges were .99 at our Aldi this week! I love the product comparison chart! Thanks!

  8. I'm glad to see a blog devoted to Aldi, too. It's such a great store! I love knowing I can save at least 50% off regular grocery store prices (without clipping/sorting/strategizing). :-)

  13. I've always loved Aldi but asnt sure what the total savings was. So, when my husband and I were sent to our current duty station I let my Aldi shopping slip into nothing. On a recent trip to my favorite donut shop in the area, I noticed that I had to pass an Aldi store and jokingly commented to my children that I should just make our monthly grocery shopping trip to Aldi coincide with our trip to the donut shop. My daughter laughed at that, saying that I'd just use going to Aldi as an excuse to get donuts. Now, I don't quite think she's right, but I will definitely be resuming my Aldi shopping after reading this blog. And if my trip to Aldi happens to include a stop at the donut shop, at least I will know I can afford it with what I have saved. Another bonus - I don't have a debit card, just a credit/ check card, which means I have to pull out cash to do my shopping. Well, guess what, my donut shop only takes cash too! It's like a sign! LOL
